In late 2022, two legends of Latin American music came together for the first time to create a protest song in support of cultural exchange between Mexico and the United States. Ramón Amezcua – Bostich, from Nortec Collective, and Rubén Albarrán from Café Tacvba.
«Mundo en Extinción» is the lead single from MXTX: A Cross-Border Exchange, an album advocating for migrant rights. The project was curated by Graham Reynolds, composer of soundtracks for films by director Richard Linklater and his program Golden Hornet.
BIG RESULTS
For this campaign, we focused on two main media outlets: those dedicated to music and publications where the political message of the release could resonate deeply, particularly in outlets connected to Latin American culture.
The results included interviews on De Primera Mano, a popular TV show on Imagen Televisión, and an exclusive segment on WFM on W-Radio (96.9). Additionally, we arranged interviews for both artists with Rolling Stone en Español, Indie Rocks!, WARP Magazine, Grita Radio, Naufraghost, La Banda Elástica, Traktor, and FILTER México.
We also garnered reviews from Dark Impala, Mr Indie, Playlist Magazine, Soulwavez, Rock e Historias, Rock 191, and the main political magazine in México, Nexos, among others.
